Forsand municipal area
- with a population of approx. 1150 inhabitants, one of the smallest
municipalities in Rogaland. Area is 842 km². (523.19 miles²).
Lysefjord is the most characteristic fjord in Rogaland.
When you travel along the fjord you will see the 600 meters high (1 968 feet)
"Pulpit Rock" (Preikestolen) and not least the 1000 meters (3 281 feet)
mountain plateau Kjerag. Kjerag is well-known for its basejumping.
At the fjord entrance you will find the Lysefjordsenteret
and the Tourist information in Forsand.
